 Don't know whether to choose the Cash value or Annuity Option?
As of February 28, 2000 a player is no longer required to decided on the cash or the annuity option prior to purchasing a Powerball ticket. A change in the IRS code now allows you to make the cash versus annuity decision after you have won a jackpot.

 Am I allowed to change my payment option from Annuity to Cash Option?
If you win the jackpot amount but did not choose the Cash Option when you purchased your ticket you will have sixty days from the date of your prize claim to decided if you want to choose the Cash Option. You may not change from the Cash Option to the Annuity.
 
 How long can someone who has won an Idaho Lottery wait to claim their prize?
Players who have won the Idaho Lottery have 180 days from the draw date for online games and 180 days from the official end of the game for instant games to claim their prize. If a prize is not claimed within the 180 days, it is then transferred to the dividend fund.
